The original Bronze Phoenix Lamp used to make these authentic reproductions, was excavated at Hepu of Guangxi Province. It looks like a standing color Phoenix Bird. Its neck is connected to the body with a casing pipe which can be detached and can turn to adjust the light. On its back is a hole to hold the Oil Bowl. It is hollow in both the body and the neck.
The Phoenix Head looks back and in its mouth is a horn shaped lamp shade which can absorb the exhaust of the burning lamp and send it to the belly to clean the air of the room. The overall size of the lamp is 7.5" Long X 5.5" Tall and comes with a wood display stand and gift box. This is a great example of functional tribal art from the Shang Dynasty (circa 1100 BC).
